Yesterday Feb 5th was Sarah's 3rd chemo treatment. For the 2nd time in a row it was a snow day so she didn't miss school but it was a bit hairy getting to Utica in the morning. Her boyfriend Derek was able to come with us again because of the day off from school and he was a great help. He is very attentive and kept her occupied with movies on his ipad and videos of Tim Tebow. Her blood work was good, pretty much unchanged although her WBC's did go up a tiny bit which is a good thing. Her weight was unchanged and she didn't have a fever which is also good. Again she tolerated the treatment like the champ that she is. Today (2/6) she was extremely tired and her eyes are red and irritated but all in all feeling OK. She is very happy to have gotten permission to play in her senior recognition basketball game on Monday night and we have devised a pretty good plan to keep her port safe from any roughness. So here we are 25% of the treatments are done and so far so good. Keep the prayers coming please. For this treatment she brought a special blanket made for her by a great family friend Kim Horender who is the head of Project Linus in our area. It kept her nice and cozy.
Good news!
